TextNow with 1 Month No Ads App Reviews

Why cant you fix this, takes me over a dozen tries to open it on my iPad. Other than this all pretty good.

It is a great app but the calls never connect on first 6-7 tries. Even if connected after keep on trying the sound quality would be bad, lags, crashes... Can only use this for texting. Too bad the app has clean easy to understand layout, the calling feature is not functional.

The amount this app lags and crashes, its a wonder it is still being "updated". I have to close everything on my device just so I can open this app for two seconds to reply to someone, then go through it many times when having a full conversation. The constant crashing on startup is just plain stupid at this point, for a "finished" app with constant updates of "bug fixes," it does not work well at all. Another tip, if you want your battery dead in 3 minutes, this is the app for you. You can either listen to music and do your normal processes for hours, or use TextNow for about 3 minutes, and your battery will be just as depleted as your patience with the app itself.

Why cant I hear or be notified when I get a text, I have to press the app to see, its annoying now.. app was good but now its a joke,, fix the app

You can call freely all American numbers!! The voice is clear and it works greatly !! Wonderful

Theres a late response sometimes when I make calls but overall this is a great app

This was my favorite app, but now its nothing but pop up ads. Everyone thinks they are making improvements when all you do is make things more expensive and work worse. Go back to the way it was, when it was great!

This is the nicest app I have ever seen

This app was good for the first year I had it, so I had decided to get the paid service. Which was ehhh ok but bearable. I do not know if it was the phone or the service or a combination of both. Most times than not I could not get the phone to bring up the accept dot fast enough, I usually ended up with a missed call and then when I did try to call out or call back it took at least a full minute or more before it would actual start dialing. Was better than no service so I dealt with it. I even convinced my daughter to get the same phone from them so we both had text now service with the Same phone. Hers acted the same way. Then today I was checking my bank account and notices I had text now charges that was not authorized nor had they been elected.to which made my bank account overdrawn. I jumped on the online support chat and yes, was highly ticked off....who wouldnt be? To which I explained to the guy, Rafeal, that I had called and suspended my service for 3 months and no 26.99 charge should have been made..plus my usual was the 18.99 data deal. Well, during my conversation I figured out that it was not my phone being charged with this, but my daughters ..to which she was getting the 1 GB data deal(32$) a month well a few weeks back she cut hers down to the 13.99 data plan for a few months. Go back about a week when her plan was due, they did take out the 13.99 fee. But now they claimed someone got her phone and upgraded her data...to which I know did not happen as we are usually together. Well, by this time I am highly ticked off and our conversation is not going well. Well the customer service rep ended up NOT answering me and turned off my daughters phone completely. Now even thou her 100mb of data was used up, she should still have her calling and texting service and wifi for data available. I have tried to call and contact the online support chat portal to which I get no replies or I was on "hold in cue" to talk on the phone for over an hour before I gave up. So now....Text Now is NOT replying to any attempts I have made to contact them. I am now disputing these charges with my bank and did get the overdraft fee refunded, and would like the 26.99 charges put back into my bank account. Since support will not give me any help...I am giving my review here to let everyone know to watch your service and charges for anything similar.

I have used this app for years now, however recently (last six months) the app has been crashing. It takes multiple tries opening before it will load. As of yesterday it will not open at all. It tries but then crashes before loading completely. This is getting out of control especially when its some peoples form of communication due to no cell services at their residence.

i love this app alot, its the only way i can keep in touch with many of my friends. but, i cant even get in! every time i touch it, it loads for a min but then it crashes. last time i tried to get on it crashed 10 times! i got fed up with it and decided to write a reveiw. otherwise than the crashing, i would say 4 stars! i love how i can put my own wallpaper and change my signature. i would definitely recommend this app. but warning, its extremely laggy.

Ive been using this app for going on 5 years now, and never had any problems until iOS 10, not during beta, but once it was publicly released. It seems every "update" for this app over the last month has been making it buggier and buggier to the point where this last update, it wont open on my iPod 6th gen at all. It immediately crashes every time you try to open. Ive tried force closing the app and even turn off and on my iPod with no success.

It wouldnt freeze forever and close the app on me .... js

Wish they had a option to answer the phone on the lock screen

Textnow was great, but now it is so slow. Recently it said I was offline even though I wasnt. Now I cant text because it wont work. Please fix!

I like this app a lot i can text my friends who do not have a apple device which is nice I give this five stars because it was the first texting app I downloaded on my device i like it a lot and if your friends dont have a apple device then u should download text now.

App used to be fantastic, but for a couple of months now, it is very difficult to open. It tries to open, but crashes before it can. Have to try 4 or 5 times to open it, which can take 5 minutes or more. Hard to respond to a text because it takes so long just to get the app to open. Constant crashing & the slow typing is getting ridiculous. Also noticed that most of the reviews have disappeared. Used to be thousands, but not anymore. Kinda fishy.

I really love this app. As a mental health professional Im able to use my phone with my regular cellular number and also use the text now number which I give to clients. This is such a exceptional app for any working individual that want to stay connected with their clients but not give out their personal telephone number.

When I first started using this app as a secondary line, it was great. After everything was offered for free without having to have a balance, the quality and stability of the app has diminished. If I receive a call, I have to exit out of an ad and then sometimes because of the ad, I cant hear the call anyway and the person hangs up. Hopefully this gets better.
